The Kii peninsula although gaining popularity for tourists, is still a road less traveled. Lodging is simple and traditional. This means that getting a single room or a western style bed is difficult. Most of the lodging options will be in traditional Japanese style. Though comfortable, unique and overall a great experience please note that there will be little to no flexibility in accommodation or food for some itineraries. This means sleeping on the floor on tatami mats and some places have shared bathrooms.
The World Heritage Tour will offer incredible traditional inns all complete with a Japanese onsen/ hot spring bath and Japanese feast.
The Koyasan - Hongu Pilgrimage Tour offers no flexibility in its lodging options. All lodging is comfortable however, due to its remote location night 2 will be at an old hot spring/ Onsen hotel and night 3 will be spent in a "homestay" style farm inn.
*Please note that itineraries and accommodations are subject to change depending on time of year, availability and the best fit for our guests.
